AI & Collaboration Policy
We welcome serious, original submissions from any field. Una Mens publishes theoretical, empirical, methodological, reflective, and creative scholarship that advances inquiry with clarity, originality, and care. Some submissions focus directly on AI and human–machine collaboration; others use AI as one part of the research, writing, or discovery process. What matters is that the work is well framed, genuinely thoughtful, and transparent about how it was made.

Submission Components
1. The Core Work
•Submit your main piece as a PDF or Doc. This may take the form of a theory paper, empirical report, short essay, dialogue, interview, reflection, field note, or other clearly framed hybrid scholarly form.

Please indicate your preferred publication and sharing terms (for example, Creative Commons or other specified licensing preferences).
2. Author Contributions and Collaboration Note
Please include a brief account of how the work was produced. Solo-authored and human-only submissions may simply note authorship and process. If AI tools or collaborators played a meaningful role, contributors should complete an AI Collaboration Field Note describing roles, guardrails, surprises, suggestions set aside, and the general timeline of collaboration.

Review Process
Every manuscript submitted to Una Mens is read in full by a human editor. At this stage of the journal’s development, final editorial decisions remain with the chief editor. Review may include editorial assessment, AI-assisted commentary, or both, but acceptance decisions are made through full human judgment.
We review submissions for:

Una Mens Note: Manuscripts under review are processed only through AI services with training-on-inputs disabled; no manuscript text is retained in third-party systems beyond the review session.
